I am very excited to be publishing the very first edition of Ideal Weddings, hoping that this edition will excite you so much that you cannot wait for the next edition! I for one, cannot wait already!
Not yet married, but I am a wedding junkie and I thought, why not have a wedding magazine that helps people like myself who may be in the process of planning their weddings or those who have dreams of wedding one day. The idea is to share ideas on wedding planning and get inspiration from those who’ve wedded.
With the Corona Virus destroying the dream wedding plans of many, people have resorted to smaller weddings and another trend has emerged where people combine the lobola and the wedding on the same day! Exciting times indeed. You can read about this in our article New Trends: Lobo-Weddings.
This edition also covers the process from engagement to the wedding (Engaged, now what?) as well as how to choose the best MC (Landing a good MC). A lot of people, if not all, go through a lot of stress during wedding planning, so we also discuss on how to deal with wedding pressure in the article, Dealing with wedding pressure.
Another popular issue that is common during wedding planning is the conflict between the bride and groom and their families, where families have their own expectations which may be parallel to what the bride and groom want. This is covered in the article Family demands vs Your needs.
