Brought together by fate

By Precious Mafadzavana

Love can be crazy; it can either lead you to the right partner or the completely wrong person. Tinashe and Susie’s love story was different. Having dated for one week in high school in 2016, the two separated for almost two years. The two got back together in 2018 in December and they reconciled and started dating again. After two years of dating, Tinashe asked Susie to be his wife and thereafter, they were engaged.

Tinashe paid lobola on the 27th of March 2021. He made sure that his wife was treated like a queen, she had her bridal shower on the 4th of September 2021, and the wedding took place on the 2nd of October 2021.

The pressure of preparing for a wedding was too much as the wife had to balance school and wedding planning, the husband on the other hand had to balance work and wedding planning.

Despite having the inadequate time of planning, everything came to place. The couple wedded in Hatfield at Munondo Eleven where the bride wore a white boob tube gown which was laced up at the top part of it and the groom went all black and white with a white shirt and blazer and black trousers. The bridesmaids wore burgundy dresses while the groomsmen wore pink suits.

The couple made sure that the outfits were classy so were the dance moves. As advice to future brides, Susie says, “prayer is the key, dedicate everything to God, it will eventually fall into place. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself, always plan to avoid the pressure. Start planning for the wedding 12 months before. Pray together with your partner and try by all means to avoid arguments”.
